I am in the smallest possible area of the front room. The bloody case is massive and I spend most of my time with crushed bollocks but I love it! The internal wires need a tidy up but I can’t be arsed at the moment.

A quick snip of idle temps. The fan on the GPU doesn’t start until 65c and the CPU is idle at 14c it peaks at around 31c.

@DestroyThemAll 14c idle!? How do you keep the temps so low? Do you have your cpu fans running on 100% all the time?
Really nice 200mm fan on the side man. That thing most push a lot of air.
BTW I also owned a strix 980. It’s an awesome card.

Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ˜‰

It’s all in the flow. 1 front, 3 side, 1 below pushing air in, the two on the CPU pulling air from below through the sink and pushing out to the extractor fans on the top. All of the fans are on lowest speeds and I don’t change them. Even put to max though you can’t really hear them and it sounds no different.

The 1c for the SSD is a false reading.

Thats some bad-ass rig John! ur case is really big ๐Ÿ˜›

@DestroyThemAll Wow That’s very “cool” haha xD

If you scroll up you can see my rig and I’ve got the NH-D15 with three NF-A14 140mm fans (600RPM) mounted to it in a push/pull setup and all I get is 30c to 35c idle. It’s an i7 3770k @ 4.5GHz on 1,130 volts which is a preatty good oc in my book.

I got the “Be Quiet silent base 800” which is an silent optimised case which means it’s preatty closed up by design to make it hard for the sound to escape the case. Guess maybe that’s why my airflow isn’t as good as it could be ๐Ÿ˜›

What thermal paste do you use?

14C???!11111 Can you wear shorts next to it in the summer? I had a old Coolermaster 932 with 3 massive 23cm fans, and that thing was annoying in the winter, way too cold, lol

I would actually be a bit careful if it get’s that cold. too much condensation can ruin the electricity and the whole PC.

You’re not wrong Remi. I keep the fans on low all of the time in case that happens. Socks are a must!

I’ve always used arctic silver for thermal paste. The case itself is massive which helps with the airflow but you need the quiet fans to reduce the noise.
